Dwier Brown connected with Stan and Bob (Day #206) at a sports memorabilia show in Cleveland and the three of them were able to play catch. Thankfully, Bob wrote about that experience.
I had written Dwier’s name on my calendar for Sunday, September 2, knowing it was the Team of Dreams event at the Field of Dreams movie site. In the back of my mind, I was still trying to dream and scheme a way to get back to that sacred field for another game of catch.
But I was hired to officiate a wedding ceremony Saturday night. It is simply not possible to get back to the field.
I sent Dwier an email explaining the circumstances and thanking him for his continued correspondence.
Tonight, again, Dwier replied.

I thought I would be at the Team of Dreams event, but I won’t be attending, either.
I’m sure you are in the “dog days” of Having a Catch Every Day for a Year, but it is certainly inspiring people you don’t even know about! Look how it spread to Bob and Stan and I!
